Gearing Up for a Snowmobile Ride

Don’t let the excitement of a day of snowmobile exploration distract you from the preparation needed to face the cold. Once you are flying down the trails, the wind can transform into a biting chill, and the exertion can leave you feeling extra hungry.

The key to staying warm is to dress in layers. This allows you to trap heat near your body while also providing flexibility for temperature changes. Start with a moisture-wicking base layer, followed by a warm insulating layer like fleece or wool. Top it off with a waterproof and windproof outer shell to shield you from the elements.

Important Snowmobile Gear:

Gloves: Waterproof and insulated gloves are crucial to keep your hands warm and comfortable while gripping the handlebars.
Goggles: Protect your eyes from wind, snow, and glare with high-quality goggles. Consider options with double lenses to prevent fogging.
Boots: Warm, waterproof boots with good traction are essential for navigating snowy terrain safely and comfortably.
Snow Pants & Warm Coat: Invest in a good pair of waterproof snow pants and a warm winter coat to keep you insulated from the cold.
Bonus Tip: Hand Warmers Are Your Friends: Tucking a few pairs in your pockets can be a lifesaver if the temperatures dip lower than expected.

Mother Nature doesn’t always cooperate, but we won’t let that derail your plans. If fresh powder isn't on the menu, you can choose from our variety of other vehicles – side-by-sides, UTVs, or E-bikes to satisfy your craving for adventure. We hope to see you soon in Garden Valley; we welcome tourists from Boise, Middleton, Kuna, Caldwell, the entire state of Idaho, and beyond. Call (208) 462-0855, or visit our booking page today.
